Wouldn't you like these government articles be delivered directly to you rather than keep checking back to see what has been posted? RSS lets you do this very task.
RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. It basically allows you to choose the web content you like and have it delivered directly to your desktop.
How do I start using RSS feeds?
1. Download a Newsreader
The first thing you need to do is download a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want. A very simple to use news reader is Newsgator. You can download a free newsreader at http://www.newsgator.com/home.aspx
2. Subscribe to Our Government Contracting 101 RSS Feed
Once you have downloaded a newsreader, a simple way to set up the feed is to click on the RSS feed button and then drag the URL of the feed into your news reader window.
If you use Newsgator, you can also copy and paste the URL.
1. Open your Newsgator account.
2. Under the tab "My Feeds" click on "Add A Feed".
3. Click on the tab entitled "URL & Feed Import".
4. Copy the URL that displays in the address bar after you click on the RSS feed button.
5. Paste it into the field called Feed URL.
